I'm looking for specifics within people! I need different variety, people seem to be all the same. I want something different....not i will help people and griefing is HORRIBLE. I want something more exotic or a different view on things.
Well, a staff member's job is SUPPOSED to be to help people. And griefing isn't horrible... It's quite fun xD Maybe you should pick a select few of the applications you denied and actually talk to them a bit. Maybe their a bit different than you think they are once you talk to them. I know I sure as hell don't put every aspect of me on an application. Such as, I'm quite childish and I get ticked off a bit too easily when disrespected, but most people in applications say good aspects or lies about themselves. It's common. Lol.

If you were given Op status, what is the FIRST thing you would do? The First Thing I would do is make sure that anyone who needs help gets help ASAP, and make sure that everyone is happy and is having a wonderful time on VikingCraft.

I would first take the first measure to make sure no building or player was unsatisfied with the result of the staff members actions. I would then try and gather as much evidence of the disturbance through screenshots, and then give you a full, in detail report of all actions and measures that were taken that were wrongful.
Why do you want to be a part of the VikingCraft staff? I want to be a staff member because I feel I could really help this server out. Being Head Admin on other servers, I understand what it is to make sure everyone is satisfied. I know that if server members are frantic about not receiving the correct response to their need, It is required, as an admin, to do anything and everything in your power to make sure it is right. Being a part of VikingCraft would help enhance my understanding of this beautiful art called Minecraft. It would be very Beneficial to me. And, I should add that you, being the owner, seem like you mean very serious business, and are very prospective. You seem as if you will go to any measures to make your server the best it possibly could be. I don't know myself if I could get to your most amazing skill, but I, being a prospective candidate to be chosen, and said multiple times, will try to do anything and everything to live up to the expectations. I am a very understanding, caring person, who does not stand for griefing, flaming, and procrastination. I listen to all sides of all stories, and rely on all of the evidence presented to give a right and just sentence to people convicted. I make sure that everyone is great and happy in a respectful and compassionate manner. These aspects, I think, are very important to have as a moderator and/or administrator.

Then I would investigate hacker/griefer/spammer stuff. Then I would help out on the website (I know you don't have one but I can make one for you) with ban appeals, checking posts, and website administrating stuff like that. Then I would just hang out on the server in a legit house and talk and just do fun stuff like that.

The spawn is well built and some your players sound extremely dedicated! <- I like that. Also there are some things I have ideas for, to add and to take away from the server that I would like to discuss more with you.

I have a lot of experience administrating, enforcing rules, making servers into a fun and safe environment, website experience (includes creation, design, moderation/administration), and I am just a fun and helpful person in general that would love to help you guys!
What are the rules regarding hacking? Well all this also depends on how you want it to be dealt with. But how I normally tell them, is first ask them if they are hacking up front. Creating an application and submitting it and hoping to get approved. Even on friends servers, I will not let them promote me unless I honestly want to be promoted. The server I am admin on is a server in which I do not know the owner by anything but their IGN and I have spent almost 200 hours building stuff for them. Over time I have slowly submitted applications and hoped to be approved. It has paid off for both me and them.

I have used it before sadly, but that was a long time ago when I was immature and thought griefing was cool on things like creative servers and non-grief servers.

I would take screen shots of the action, then tell them to stop, if they didn't listen if possible I would remove there powers and make them member temporarily until a higher ranking staff member could come to handle the situation. I'd love to meet some new people and hope to find a new home for myself as my current server that I am ranked on is shutting down this coming Friday. Well my typical rules regarding the situation of hackers is to ask myself the question "What form of hacking are they doing?" are they spamming with a spam bot or using something like nodus and x-raying. If they are spamming I do a /kickall to kick all of there spam bots. If it is something like nodus then I ask them to remove it or be banned. I have used it before sadly, but that was a long time ago when I was immature and thought griefing was cool on things like creative servers and non-grief servers.

If you were given Op status, what is the FIRST thing you would do? I would go into the help menu and read all commands to make myself familiar with them in case the server had any plugins I had never used.

I would take screen shots of the action, then tell them to stop, if they didn't listen if possible I would remove there powers and make them member temporarily until a higher ranking staff member could come to handle the situation. Why do you want to be a part of the VikingCraft staff? Based on information given the server sounds like my type. I'd love to meet some new people and hope to find a new home for myself as my current server that I am ranked on is shutting down this coming Friday. Why do you want to become a Mod or Admin?
I want to become a Staff Member because many people break offences, and there are no mods or admins online when they do. I witness people spamming, combat logging and glitching, but i feel weak and i cannot do anything, i try to inform them of their offences but they refuse to listen. If i become a part of staff i will try my 100 percent best to upgrade the server into one of the most fairest environments to play in. There are no Guards on when i'm online, therefore it would be great to stop those CRIMINALS
I also believe that everyone deserves a second chance and that everyone is a NOOB at one stage of their MC life. My job, when i become staff, is to stop that noobishness in the server by answering questions and queries.

I have good leadership,persistance, intergrity, helpfulness, co-operation and kindness (sometimes). I am not bad tempered, cocky and selfish. I always listen to people and never lose the faith of who i am.
How i would like people to judge my application:
I want people to leave the things i have done to them (raids, pvp, grief) and i promise i will start over with you and be fair and not bias to anyone. Comment on my application without the thoughts of hatred in your mind please. Thank you.
Spammers: If people are spamming on the server i will tell them to stop, if they refuse i will mute them and jail them. If they spam with a client, i will take a screenshot and i will have to ban them.
Disrespect / Abusing Mods: IF someone abuses me, i will tell them to stop. If they don't i will mute them for some time (10-15 minutes). If they continue the next day or after the mute, i will jail them for at least 1 hour.
Glitchers: I will need satisfactory evidence before making my judgement. I will not accuse and i WILL be fair. If i catch someone Glitching, it will be an instant jail time for at least 1-2 hours.
Hackers: I will also need satisfactory evidence, if i receive it, i will tell them to remove the hacks and jail them for 1 hour minimum for not reading the rules at spawn, which clearly states it.
Combat Loggers: If someone combat logs, i will give them a warning, also forcing him to give back his stuff to the other player. If he constantly does it over and over again, it will be a jail for 2 hours.
Racism: I will not tolerate racism, it is one of the most cruel things on Earth to do. I will do my best to put a stop to it, i will tell them to stop, if they don't i will jail them for 1 hour no questions asked.
Advertising: If people advertise other servers i will jail them, because it won't work giving them a warning, they will keep on doing it, no matter what. If it is a genuine player telling his real life friend a server, i will tell him not to type in chat, but on Skype, /msg or facebook etc. I will release him and fine him one warning, making sure he does not do it again.
Note: The jail time for these offences depends on how severe they commited it. Also if i ban someone, on a MAJOR incident, i will take really good evidence and present it to Owner, to prevent false accusations agaisnt me. I will try to be kind and considerate to people if i get the Mod position because i'll be new and i don't want to ruin the first days of my new job.

I also believe that everyone deserves a second chance and that everyone is a NOOB at one stage of their MC life. My job, when i become staff, is to stop that noobishness in the server by answering questions and queries.

I have good leadership,persistance, intergrity, helpfulness, co-operation and kindness (sometimes). I am not bad tempered, cocky and selfish. I always listen to people and never lose the faith of who i am.
How i would like people to judge my application:
I want people to leave the things i have done to them (raids, pvp, grief) and i promise i will start over with you and be fair and not bias to anyone. Comment on my application without the thoughts of hatred in your mind please. Thank you.
Spammers: If people are spamming on the server i will tell them to stop, if they refuse i will mute them and jail them. If they spam with a client, i will take a screenshot and i will have to ban them.
Disrespect / Abusing Mods: IF someone abuses me, i will tell them to stop. If they don't i will mute them for some time (10-15 minutes). If they continue the next day or after the mute, i will jail them for at least 1 hour.
Glitchers: I will need satisfactory evidence before making my judgement. I will not accuse and i WILL be fair. If i catch someone Glitching, it will be an instant jail time for at least 1-2 hours.
Hackers: I will also need satisfactory evidence, if i receive it, i will tell them to remove the hacks and jail them for 1 hour minimum for not reading the rules at spawn, which clearly states it.
Combat Loggers: If someone combat logs, i will give them a warning, also forcing him to give back his stuff to the other player. If he constantly does it over and over again, it will be a jail for 2 hours.
Racism: I will not tolerate racism, it is one of the most cruel things on Earth to do. I will do my best to put a stop to it, i will tell them to stop, if they don't i will jail them for 1 hour no questions asked.
Advertising: If people advertise other servers i will jail them, because it won't work giving them a warning, they will keep on doing it, no matter what. If it is a genuine player telling his real life friend a server, i will tell him not to type in chat, but on Skype, /msg or facebook etc. I will release him and fine him one warning, making sure he does not do it again.
Note: The jail time for these offences depends on how severe they commited it. Also if i ban someone, on a MAJOR incident, i will take really good evidence and present it to Owner, to prevent false accusations agaisnt me. I will try to be kind and considerate to people if i get the Mod position because i'll be new and i don't want to ruin the first days of my new job.
