Hello everyone,
My name is iLiakSoop and my friend and I have been hosting Minecraft Servers for around a year now and only once have we had a successful server which we then took down for our own reasons.
After we had took down that server we noticed that it is much harder to get players for your server now, and I'm not one of these people who will beg players to come onto my server.
This post is basically me asking you what YOU look for/want in a Minecraft Server, this can vary from Vanilla Minecraft to Tekkit.
We are open to all ideas, we will consider anything and if you can't think of an idea please look through comments posted by other people and maybe vote post's up that you think are a good idea.
After there are enough good comments I will then discuss with my friend on what we will choose to be our final idea, we are also open to any certain plugins you would like to see on the server.

Well the thing you are talking about is that its hard to get people on servers because there is too little KINDS of servers. Like factions pvp survival plotme hunger games etc etc. Well I've tried to host servers but honestly, I just dont have the money. I do though have a smart mind and I know that in order to make a succesfull server you will need these specs:
A good theme
Lots of RAM for plugins
24/7 uptime
Good experienced staff (Like I would be staff if you would like. Most things about getting staff of PMC is that most of them are unexperienced and just want to fool around. I do fool around but I stay on task and I do my job. Most people just go on the pmc chat and ask if any servers need staff. If they get it the server WILL FAIL. I would be staff and would love to.
I have a lot of theme ideas aswell but its not what I like but its what the owners like. I wouldn't like to own a server with a theme everyone else likes but me. It should be a theme YOU like. And something new. Thats how the hunger games theme started. The goal of that is not to have EVERYONE on it but people who have common interests. (pm me or skype me at juand.salazar if you want me to ask you questions and give you themes i would like.) So what tv shows do you love? The walking dead? anything along those lines. Books.Movies. genres.
Rp is a good example. I would love to be on a Walking Dead rp server I've tried to make one for long but im broke. If you would like this ideas I would love the be staff.
