Changes to the shop,

The shop used to have a multitude of items. The Server shop has recently been cut back. I feel this enhances the player experience as for players will need to craft many items, and mine, cut, etc. items instead of just buying them at the shop.

While a huge shop was nice, it seemed to remove many of the basic searches for items. By cutting back the items in the shop, it now returns to the players a bit of a challenge and keeps the players using their creative minds.

Pixel-Pushers has been Updated to 1.10

Update to 1.9 was completed successfully, and thereafter, the updates continued on a regular basis. The swift release of 1.10 was very surprising to me, however Pixel-Pushers followed suit and is currently updated to 1.10 as well.

I enjoy the new Magma blocks, as well as the new mobs in the 1.10 update. The "Husks" and "strays" are cool, but seem to be a re-skinned creeper, however the fact that Minecraft keeps evolving after all of this time, keeps players. like me, continue to enjoy the game.

Pixel-Pushers is always looking for fresh and new ideas while maintaining the integrity and friendly community that has developed on the server.

With the 1.9 update soon to be added to the server, and the plug-ins updated to accommodate this update, Pixel-pushers wants to offer something new to players who may not be interested in the new aspects offered by the 1.9 update.

Players can go to forums, and under the "suggestions" area, can make a suggestion or recommendation for the server, and have a voice in decision making going on for future additions and updates.

ALL suggestions will be reviewed and considered based on pros and cons, need, want and benefits for the server, players and community. The open-mindedness of this server to try and maintain it's integrity and community but yet offer fresh and new things for it's players, shows that Pixel-Pushers cares about their player's gameplay ,interests and satisfaction.

Ongoing Build competitions

It seems as soon as one Player building competition ends, a new one begins.

I like the fact that the competitions give players a lot of lead way, but yet sticks to a theme or idea. The ideas and themes are not always the "typical" minecraft builds, and promote players to use their imaginations.

Players can almost build anything they want as long as they can find a way and express how it ties into the theme, this is pretty cool as it lets creativity and imagination run wild.

Judging and Prizes are awarded in a reasonable amount of time, and when one competition ends, the next one usually begins. Players are always given adequate time to complete their builds, so no players are at a disadvantage. Building competitions and the unique ideas behind the themes as well as the prizes are one of my favorite things on Pixel-Pushers.

Applications for Staff/Builder:

Applications are always accepted from all, using the forums under the Staff & Builder Application Tab. Applications are saved, and as positions open up, all previous applications are considered for the position.

Simply fill out the application, and If a position is available that meets your qualifications, you may be chosen as a staff Member.

Items Considered When approving an Applicant:
1. Knowledge
2. Interactions with others
3. Familiarity with Server and Server rules
4. Trust and behavior
5. Experience
6. Time frame that applicant is available vs, need for additional staff during that time frame.
7. Loyalty and amount of time spent playing on the server.

these are just a few things that are considered when promoting players to staff.

Qualifications and experience are not the only items considered when promoting staff.
Interactions with other players, knowledge, and loyalty are usually part of the considerations. If someone's availability is limited to a time slot that is already covered by other staff, even though that person may be qualified, they may have to wait till a need for that time slot requires an additional staff member to be added to that time.

Loyalty and time played also is considered when reviewing staff applications, a person that comes on for a few moments, applies for staff, and then leaves, might not be considered, even if qualified, as for interactions with others, behavior and knowledge hasn't been shown in order to acquire the position. Trust is something that is usually earned and would be needed in order to be promoted.

Pixel-Pushers strives to have knowledgeable, friendly and open minded staff. In order to achieve this, players and applicants should show off their qualities during game play and apply for a position when they have become familiar with the server and server rules, and have built a good reputation for themselves as a player who follows rules, helps others, and respects the staff and the server.

When a position opens up, the applicants that can fulfill the timeslot needed will be selected for review, and the most suited applicant will be chosen.

All players are encouraged to apply if a staff position is something that they may be interested in.

Polls;

When a server is going to make a change, using polls is a great way to get player input.

By presenting the possible change and providing what the alternates would be, then allowing players to pick one, helps to keep the players able to participate in the decision making process but also keeps the focus on that one decision.

I like that there is a poll for an upcoming possible change in rank names, with the potential alternate provided, as well as a third option. This allows all players and staff to participate in some of the decision making and also gives insight as to wether or not the potential change would be a negative or positive impact from the players view.

I look forward to seeing the possibility of more polls and players included in some of the decision making processes when changes may be made to a server.

EVENT and Drop Party

On 3/26/2016 Pixel-Pushers held a Trivia Event and drop party. There was a great turn out and Over 25 Million in prizes and in game money was given Out.

This event lasted approximately 45 minutes and seemed to keep all players engaged.
The first part of the event was a trivia contest, where server and minecraft related questions were asked of the player and the first person to answer correctly, received in game funds immediately. The questions were in direct contact to server rules, items, commands and locations specific to Pixel-Pushers and led players on a mini scavenger hunt to find the answers, while a few other questions were regarding materials needed to craft an item or other well known minecraft facts.

When the trivia portion of the event was completed, all players were summoned to an arena build specifically for the drop party. Items such as spawners, diamonds, tools, beacons and other valuable objects were dropped down on the players with approximately 75 opportunities to receive a prize. At the end of the event, players were then asked if anyone DID not win something, and staff was informed that No one went away empty handed.

The trivia and drop party was a great success and the players really enjoyed competing against each other showcasing their server and minecraft knowledge and the drop party had players running around and trying to scoop up prizes thrown down on them. This was a lot of fun, and more events like this will be scheduled in the future.

Knapsacks

Pixel-pushers have knapsacks. This allows players to craft a knapsack in the size they want and carry some extra good. Players seem to enjoy having this ability and control over what and how much they carry.

The simple command of /ks opens all the information the player will need to use this and create more, as well as give away and a variety of other options.

I really like this addition and other players seem to really LOVE IT !!

Using Quick shop for Player's Shops:

Quick shop is used her for the player's shops. I love how easy it is to use. Much easier than the old signs on the chests Pixel-Pushers even has a youtube tutorial which offers assistance.

By typing in /qs all the commands are listed that would be needed to create your shop. This is so quick and easy that it is basically self explanatory.

I love the fact that players no longer need to use item frames to display what is being sold as for a HOLOGRAM of the item appears over the chest. This is REALLY cool looking.!

I really like the functionality and ease of use and set up of "Quick Shop".

Considering Player's Requests and suggestions:

On forums, there is a place where players can make suggestions to Pixel-Pushers. These requests and suggestions do not go unheard. Each suggestion is seriously considered and sometimes have been implemented if it benefits the server or player gameplay. The staff many times ask players their opinions and likes or dislikes regarding different aspects of the server, and tries to accommodate whenever possible.

The current Build competition, was a Great Suggestion by a player. The open minded staff happily altered what the theme was originally supposed to be in order to allow the players overall idea to come across. By having consideration to the players requests and allowing them to assist in making decisions like this, It helps to make the players feel like a valued party of the community.

Players always feel more valued when they feel that their suggestions and request have not gone unheard.

Players can Buy and Sell SPAWNERS back to server.

After a lengthy discussion with players about spawners at Pixel-Pushers, we went to 10 random servers to see how many spawners are sold to players at those servers, and how many servers bought them back from player. This was not done scientifically, but random, However the results were interesting.

1 place didn't even sell spawners, While the other 9 sold usually between 7 and 10 types of spawners. Amazingly enough, ZERO of those random 10 bought spawners back from players. It seems, while there may be servers out there that buy them back, we did not come across one in our random 10 pick.

At Pixel-Pushers, 17 varieties of spawners are for sale to players at a reasonable cost, and can be sold back to the server at a 1/4 rate, which is also a great exchange rate.

In my opinion, by offering to the players a HUGE variety of spawners at a economical rate, allows the players to spend more of their time on creativity and less time on search missions for spawners. There seems to be many players trying to build farms, automated devices, and other uses for spawners. Spawners have specific mechanics needed to work properly, and if players spend their time figuring out the configuration needed to accomplish their goal, this promotes knowledge and is a great experience to figure out how things may work in real life.

The amount of Spawners available to players as well as the ability to sell them back to the server is one of the fantastic things that Pixel-Pushers offer to their players that most other servers do not.

Building Competition;

Building Competitions at Pixel-Pushers seem to always be going on and smoothly run from one competition to the next, with very little down time, (usually less than 48 hour).

I like the fact that once one competition ends, the next one begins very shortly after. The themes of the Build competitions fit in well here and are not only server related but tie into happenings going on in the real world. They are not just the run of the mill holiday competitions for the holiday of that month. The theme usually ties in very specifically to the server and it's players, but allows endless opportunities for players to think out of the box and still meet the criteria of what the competition calls for.

I like the way the competitions are set up. There is a theme (currently Spring time parade) in which players join the Fictitious Springtime Parade at Pixel-Pushers and enter their float into the Parade for judging. What makes this awesome is that players can basically build almost anything they want to, and are good at, and still have the challenge of turning it into a float or a balloon to fit the parade theme. Participation for the build competitions seem to be growing more and more with each competition, and players are always asking about what the next one is going to be.

By having a specific theme, but with very little limitations, the building competitions here, seem to offer to the players, more lead way in their builds while promoting creativity. The prizes are always awarded within 24 hours of end of competition, with the New build competition usually posted immediately after prizes have been disbursed.

I truly enjoy the Build Competition themes at Pixel-Pushers, and can't wait to see what the upcoming events and competitions are going to be.

Player Heads.

On Pixel-pushers the GIVEMEHEAD plug in is used. While the name seems a bit crude, the plug in itself is pretty cool.

Players seem to enjoy collecting heads of other players. This plug in has many options like beheading others, keeping money, etc.. However it is implemented a bit differently here in order to build a friendly community rather than a battle type atmosphere.

Players usually invite others to the PVP area and express to them that they want to collect their head and they battle it out at PVP until the head had been collected. A message in chat will appear informing all of this accomplishment.

Most of the Players on Pixel-pushers collect the heads for fun and display purposes. This community seems to enjoy displaying their friends or their residents on the wall, and by collecting the heads, they are able to display to all who their friends are, or who their residents are.

If a player isn't interested in having their head displayed, they simply don't go to the PVP area and participate. PVP is only allowed in the designated area, so players will not get ambushed and have their heads taken or items stolen if they don't want to.

I like how it is set up here, because players can choose whether or not to participate, and creating a friends wall or displaying your town residents promotes friendly communities.

This plug in allows for harsher more battle type aspects, however they are not implemented here as for Pixel-pushers is more about building a friendly community rather than a war type zone.

Clay Colors: Why are they NOT the color listed on them ??

Many Players have wondered why Stained Clay are not the color listed on them.

Here is the reason WHY: While in game the actual CLAY is of gray color. Hardened Clay is Orange.

Hardened clay is used in game to create these blocks and hardened clay is orange.

So if you take Hardened Clay and add White Stain to it, You get a pinkish-flesh colored block of clay. This is because the orange (hardened clay) stained with white combined gives the pinkish-flesh color. Even though the title does say White stained clay..it is not actually white. The orange tint will show thru. the White in the name of the block is the Actual color used to Stain the orange colored Hardened clay.

This is applicable to all the stained clay.

As you will see in the few examples listed:

Hardened Clay + white stain = pinkish-flesh
Hardened Clay + Light Blue stain= Light purple
Hardened Clay + yellow stain= Mustard color
hardened Clay + gray stain= Brownish in color
hardened Clay + black stain= Dark brown

So when you are picking the color of Clay that you want to use...You will NOT see the colors listed in their item name. Instead you will see the color the hardened Clay was stained with. The title of the clay stained blocks is the Dye that was used to color them so the end result will be different than what you expected because that color is being added to the orange tint of hardened clay.

This seems to only be applicable to Stained Clay, as Stained Clay blocks are the Only Blocks "STAINED", and when you stain an item it maintains it's base color and the stain adds color to what was already there, which is the orange color of the hardened clay.

I hope this clarifies why Stained Clay names don't actually match the color that you see.

I Love Horses !!

The Zhorse plug in is well liked by all the players. And if you're one of those players who loves horses, this plug in will come in handy. With zhorse the players can heal their horse, give it to another player or share it, they can even LOCK the horse against theft.

After taming the horse, the horse it automatically named, and it is very easy to rename you horse to virtually any name you choose.

The BEST part of this plug in, besides the theft protection is the fact that you can teleport to your horse, but EVEN BETTER yet, you can teleport your horse to you !! This is an awesome feature and I don't know of any horse lover who doesn't like that command !

Zhorse definitely is an awesome plug in that Pixel-Pushers has chosen to use, and players really seem to love it.

In game mail.

I love the fact that the in game mail is regularly being used by players as well as staff.

Many players are from different parts of the Country, Different Countries and Different time zones. This can make it difficult for a mayor of a town get in contact with one of their residents.

By using the In game mail system, players can send messages on to each other or to staff without having to have the other player on at the time.

Players simply type in /mail send (player name) and then the message and the message will be sent to the other player. the other player will get a notification the next time they come on, letting them know they have mail. The recipient types in /mail read and are able to read the messages left for them. They can type /mail clear and this will delete any messages they have.

This is also a great way for staff to send out friendly reminders, and also let players know things like they received their winnings for a referral or a competition, etc..

Since everyone's time is so valuable, and not all people can be on at the same time, I think it is wonderful that this is so actively used here and recommend it to everyone!

Organized Information for New players;

Many New players will receive a tour of spawn when they arrive, by either staff or a more seasoned player. However if no one is available, of staff is currently busy assisting another player, It is still very easy to find the most important information that a new player will need right in the spawn area.

Upon Entering the spawn area, the player can walk straight to the center and come to the rules board and information on how to start a town. Players can also use /rules. On one side of the spawn there is a sign that says "shop". Go down a few stairs and Ranks are on one side and selling/buying spawners is on the other side. In the middle, go up a few stairs and there Is the Pixel-Pushers Crest with the staff members listed below it. Across from that are a few more stairs going down, Above the stars shows the tip voters and friend referrals, and down the stairs it opens up to a shop that buys and sells more items than an average minecraft server. There is also and enchanting area.

Returning up the stairs to the main spawn area, across from the shop there is a hallway listed as "Portals". Here players can go thru a portal and access one of the 4 Wild areas. There is also a portal to the Mini-games as well, With other portals in that same area, that will be used in the future for upcoming additions to the Server,

I like how most of the most important items that a player needs to know is available right there in the area where a new player spawns in from the hub. This not only is easily accessible to new players, and very informative but helps to alleviate confusion. It also gives players an area to go to if they have a simple question and someone is unavailable at that moment to assist them.

This spawn area is very "New Player" friendly and informative, and helps new players as well as old in acquiring the needed information to play on this server and have a positive playing experience.

Another Staff member added !

Pixel-Pushers has added another Assistant to their staff, with more being added on a regular basis as the need arises.

Having this fair and open minded staffing group, will give players the assistance they need as well as the confidence that the players are playing in a safe and secure environment.

Staff members are chosen based on their experience, knowledge, interactions with others, availability as well as their ability to be unbiased and fair. Staff applications are available on forums for players to submit., Staff applications are held for an unlimited amount of time. When a time frame needs an additional staff member, all applications are reviewed, and a staff member is chosen who best fills the time frame and has the qualifications to fulfill the role.

Pixel-Pushers will be transitioning to the New 1.9

With the release of the NEW 1.9 VERSION, we are excited to inform our players that we are striving to bring this to you in the near future. Due to the impact of this on servers plugins and compatability between plugins it will take some time to get this completed as for the plug ins that we now offer our players will need to be updated to become compatible with the new 1.9 version.

What's New with 1.9 officially named the Combat Update:

Weapons
•New arrows, based on potion types, plus Spectral Arrows that create a glowing outline around the target.
•Axes do more damage, but swing slower.
•Weapon damage is now dependent on an attack strength bar that is depleted when you swing, and regenerates over time. The more the bar is filled, the more damage you will do.
•Added Shields, which block attacks when you right click. Axes have a chance of disabling the shield for 5 seconds. You can combine a banner and a shield to make the shield have the banner's design and colors on it.
•Golden apples, armor, and some enchantments have been re balanced.
•New "sweep attack" when attacking with a sword while crouching or standing. It can knockback multiple enemies at once.
•Dual wielding. If you put an item in the offhand slot you can use it by right clicking, and typing f switches the mainhand and offhand items.
•Mobs now give off particles when hit that show how much damage was done to them.
•Lingering Potions. They are thrown like splash potions, but creates a cloud that causes anyone who walks through it to be affected.
•Beetroot, and seeds and soup for it.
•Ender Crystals that can be used to re summon the Ender Dragon.

Structures
•New Igloo structure in Snow Plains.
•New End City and End Ship structures in the Outer End.
•Chorus Plant Trees.
•Now up to 128 strongholds generate per world.
•End Gates that spawn after killing the Ender Dragon. You must use an Ender Pearl to go through it.
•The Inner End is now more like the Console Edition.

Items And Blocks
•Elytra, which are wings that can be used to glide.
•Purpur blocks in the End.
•Frosted Ice.
•Grass Path, created by right clicking a grass block with a shovel.
•End Rods in the End.
•Dragon Heads in the End.
•New Structure Blocks that are used by developers and only placed using /setblock command.

Mobs
•Shulkers, new mobs that spawn in End Cities.

Other Changes
•If you shear a Snow Golem, it's pumpkin will come off of its head.
•Wearing a certain mob head will allow you to get a bit closer to that type of mob before it starts chasing you.
•Now you need Blaze Powder to operate a Brewing Stand.

Breeding
•Pigs can now be bred with potatoes, carrots and beetroot, before 1.9 they could only be bred with carrots.
•Chickens can now be bred with any type of seed, including Nether wart.

We Thank All of our players in advance, for your patience and loyalty, while we work to bring the newest version to you for your playing enjoyment. We will update on forums our progress and inform you when this conversion has been completed.

The Refer-A-Friend Promotion

The Refer a Friend Promotion is a great idea. It Promotes players to invite their friends and play with them and Both Are rewarded in game, and Top Monthly players that give referrals receive a Bonus.

How It Works:

1. Invite your friend to play at "play.pixel-pushers.net".
2. After your friend logs in, go to forums at pixel-pushers.enjin.com and fill out the refer a friend form (just 3 questions) and post it.
3. When your friend has played on the server for 24 hours, or has purchased a rank equal to or higher than kilobyte, BOTH the person who referred a player as well as the new player will receive a MILLION dollars in game money. They will get credit in the Month that the KiloByte rank was earned.
4. When the friend has reached the 24 hour minimum or purchased a rank, notify via commenting on the post that was created that originally informed of the referral. Please no duplicate posts.
5. Alternate accounts will not be considered for this program, only unique users will be considered.
6. At the end of Every Month, the player that has the Top successful referrals will receive and ADDITIONAL 5 Million dollars in In game money.

First Impressions:

After speaking to a Newer player today, I asked him about what he liked about Pixel-Pushers that is making him want to stay here.

This player expressed that He liked the fact that he was welcomed as soon as he came on. When asked how this is different from other servers,,,He stated, "I've played in other servers and they all attack you as a newby", and he continued with, "well they want to kill you and don't invite you to their towns." This player was invited to a town and joined it, just minutes after he joined.

I like the sense of Community here. It does seem staff, as well as players try to always welcome New players upon their arrival, give pertinent info and at times even provide players with a mini tour of essential areas. The seasoned players have even asked Staff if they can give the new player a tour, and the players seem to enjoy giving these tours and it helps to build community and a positive first impression.

It nice to see that players feel welcomed, and other players get excited about the server and want to show it off and help out the new person. Many great communities and towns are being established here and the towns seem to work with each other on a friendly basis rather than see them as enemies. This provides more of a positive playing experience, and gives new players a positive first impression.

It is always nice to feel welcomed, and to feel like others want you to be a part of what they are doing, Pixel-Pushers strive to provide this experience to all of it's players, and the players join in on the efforts as well.

The Paintball Maps here are Awesome !

I like the fact they are built In different Building styles. This gives the players a bit of diversity. Both maps are Very different from each other and offer players different elements for offensive and defensive gameplay. These maps are ORIGINAL maps created by Pixel-Pushers.

The One map has a Good vs. Evil or a Hot/Cold type theme to it, The design and colors are brilliant, but Not distracting to players as they make their way thru the map. The Obvious contrasting colors, build materials and layout make it easy for players to know who is their opponent as well as their team mates. The over-all look of the arena itself is very impressive.

The other map is like a cabin in the woods effect. As you run thru this map, you can almost feel like yourself running thru the woods with friends and has elements of playing paintball with friends in real life.

I love both of these maps, and am happy to see that Both are originals and offer different elements of play in each map.

TeamSpeak

I feel that teamspeak is the best way for players to communicate with each other without having to type in chat and is more safe and secure for players.

ts3.pixel-pushers.net is the address to access the pixel pushers' teamspeak.

This is a great way for players to chat with each other and not have to type in chat but is secure as for players don't have to enter in personal information to access this, and faces, age, location, etc... is not revealed. Many of the players Skype each other, which I DO NOT recommend, as for Skype is notoriously NOT secure and hacked often, and too much personal info is divulged via skype.

I recommend to all to use team speak over Skype, note you will need to download teamspeak 3 and have a working mic, but no video is needed and no one sees your face.

The tree assist has been removed, However you can still hit the bottom log on a tree and in seconds the entire tree will drop all the logs and replant itself, as well as the leaves quickly de-spawn. The new method seems to run smoother than tree assist with the same results and less lag.

Recommendation: Using Gravel vs. Water on Lava

I see many players strip mining, During the course of mining, many times you come across water and lava. Lava seems to be the worst in this scenario and many players use a water bucket to douse the lava. This creates a obsidian block and only seems to turn one layer into obsidian, so if the Lava is thicker than one block deep then using water and getting the right spot may be very time consuming. Additionally, obsidian is more time consuming to break afterwards.

When I am strip mining, and want to steer clear of Lava, I always bring GRAVEL with me. When I come across Lava, I fill up the spot with the gravel. The gravel slides down to the lowest spot of lava, and you keep filling in until you no longer see it. I am sure to try to go at least one block over, so when I go back and shovel out the gravel, lava doesn't seep back in. But if it does, you have an edge to where you can place more gravel and plug it up. This method seems to work best for me and you don't have the tiresome task of having to break obsidian blocks. The gravel also moves nicely to the lowest point of the lava and you easily fill in on top of last block with each block moving down to lowest point until it is filled in. FOR me, this method seems to be the quickest, safest, and easiest when coming across lava, I recommend in the future you try it and see which method works best for you.

No PVP in wilderness is an awesome way to promote community. I have many times been out in the wilderness fighting mobs and collecting resources, and have stumbled on another player. Thinking the player was befriending me, I have had interactions and ended up being AMBUSHED, killed and all my stuff taken. ALL my hard work; down the drain !!
At Pixel-Pushers, PVP is in designated areas, or you may turn it on in your own town. This alleviates the problem of being ambushed by other players in the wild, and helps to lessen arguments between players and animosity. Mobs have been turned up a bit to balance this out and still give you a challenge in the game. However you are fighting Mobs and Not each other, so it promotes working together and community.
I love the way this was implemented as for you see far less arguments between players, and a more peaceful chat and gameplay. Players can now focus on building friendly relationships between others without fear of being killed and can direct their fighting to the fighting of Mobs.

Players have expressed to me, and I am in agreement, that they are happy with the amount of time needed to rank up. Compared to other servers, ranking up at Pixel-Pushers isn't long and dragged out.
Players are Visitors upon joining Pixel-Pushers. The rank of Bit is earned by 5 hours of play time, The rank of Byte is earned by 10 hours of play time. The rank of Kilobyte is earned by only 24 hours of Play time.
The ability to fly is given at the rank of Kilobyte (24 hrs playtime), Each rank gets perks, pets and disguises, with more being added as you rank up. Ranks above Kilobyte are donor ranks and earn more pets, disguises, and perks.
I like the fact that it isn't set up as a PAY to Win type scale, and donations offer more cosmetics and Not player advantage. This allows everyone, no matter whether they donated or not the same gameplay. The fact that "FLY" is earned by time and Not donation, makes the ranking system fair to all. Since ranking up time is so minimal, AFK time does not count for the purposes of ranking up, which I believe is also fair as for players should be rewarded for actually Playing,

I like how the Building competition recognized All participants. It was posted that there would be a first and second prize and other prizes may be added with higher participation. There was First, Second, Third prize awarded as well as Honorable mention and a participant prize of 50k in game to the non winner. This is a great way to recognize players for their hard work and efforts and make those who did not win a top prize feel as though their time was not wasted. This can help to build participation in future competitions as well as promoting creativity and build the ethic of "hard work can pay off". I really feel that rewarding someone for their efforts helps to build self esteem and realize you can still get something positive out of "trying" even if you do not succeed.

I like the server Jail. It is a great option for staff to use, when kick just isn't enough and ban may seem too harsh. I recommend Jailing a player in the server JAIL,
This lets them know that rules are to be followed however they are still valued and are being given a chance to to redeem themselves.
With a Ban, they just leave and play somewhere else, and come back when ban is done, and may not learn their lesson. Where as with Jail,if you jail someone for just 10 minutes, those 10 minutes are in real time and starts and stops as they come and go, So they would actually have to serve the jail sentence to continue game play. A longer or shorter jail sentence may be chosen, depending on circumstance and you could even add the option of paying bail to get out early. I LOVE this option, because sometimes, a tempban or a Ban is just way too much of a punishment for the incident. This gives you a Milder option and yet still helps to keep a peaceful community.

I love the fact that THE END gets reset regularly, this allows new and old players to try and kill the enderdragon. Many times you go on sites and the enderdragon has already been killed, which may be disappointing. With it being reset regularly, it allows new players the same challenge that older players have been able to experience, It also allows you to keep trying until you succeed, even if someone else has accomplished it. This is a great way to keep it fresh and new to all.

Voting Has been simplified and made easy for Players. Players do not have to visit the website to vote for this server, although they still may access it there if they like, but Now it has been simplified and made even easier to do,

If a player types in /vote in chat, the links to the 5 voting sites will appear and they can click on the links and go directly to each one. Each vote will earn the player 5k ingame and 5 diamonds, and if the player votes all 5 links in that day, they will receive a bonus of 75k and 25 more diamonds.

In addition to the daily rewards for voting, Top monthly voters receive additional in game funds. First place= 5 million, Second place= 3 million and Third place= 1 million.

This is a fantastic way to reward players for their loyalty and earns them funds easily in a matter of a few minutes. With having the links right in chat, the players have instant access to this and it also minimizes the questions of "where do I go or how do I vote" ? which saves time for both the player as well as staff.

At Pixel-Pushers you have the ability to join up to 3 jobs as soon as you enter the site. You come on with the rank of visitor, but since you can immediately join jobs and the economy is so well balanced, you can swiflty earn the funds needed to start your own town in a matter of minutes.($250) This allows new players to have the choice of joining a town and building them self up, or creating their own town and go from there. If players use the /jobs browse they can see the jobs available to them and choose a job that coincides with the way they play minecraft. That way you can get paid to play they game. I like to mine and build,so I chose miner, builder and digger. I love the fact that i get paid to build the houses that i enjoy building.

The sell commands come in very handy, especially if you assign your self the jobs of wood cutter, digger or miner. With /sell hand you can instantly sell all of that single item in your inventory that you hovered over. Using the /sell all command allows you to sell everything that you are carrying at once without having to go back and forth to shop to sell these items.Keep in Mind, if you use this command and have somthing in your inventory that you do Not want to sell (like your sword) remove that from your inventory before you use the /sell all command, as for /sell all will sell Every saleable item that you are carrying. I like to do alot of mining, these 2 commands make it simple and easy to clear out inventory, make money quickly, and i dont lose my place when strip mining, /sell hand and /sell all are 2 of the most frequent commands I use and i find great value and very time saving in having this on the server.

The marriage plug in allows players to marry/divorce. It seems to open up another dimension of players playing together in harmony with others. I really like this addition as for players seem to try harder to find someone to match up with and play together and married couples seem to build together more often. This add on seems to promote community, social activity, working with others, and at many times gets players to become more creative in their builds, towns, and gameplay. this is one of my Favorite plug ins that has been added to minecraft.

Currently working on a custom /help menu. This should bring more clarity to new players and provide them an easier time looking for commands.

At Pixel-Pushers, the server shop has a large inventory and offers players the ability to purchase many items at /warp shop. The items available for purchase in game can also be sold back to the server at a very reasonable rate. The addition of being able to sell SPAWNERS back to the server was recently added and has had overwelming rave reviews from players,Attention to what may seem like small details like this, seems to set Pixel-Pushers apart from other servers.

The Monthly Build contests help to promote creativity and get players to express themselves through their builds. Prizes for winners include items such as free rank, in game money and spawners. I look forward to seeing how players express themselves through their buids.
