Server Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys my freind is hosting our cool servr but cant make it 24/7 without running it on his pc all the time...but he cant do that or his pc will fry anyways i was wondering if there was a way to keep the server 24/7 in like sleep mode or hibernation mode or any other way without burning his pc?................................................................and if theres a way he can send me the server so i can host it? plz thank you
