I need help updating the Java on my 1.10.2 server. Anyone wanna help?

just throwing my 2 cents in, java 9 is not compatable with minecraft yet and is still in testing stages

On console there should be jar selection it should say something 1.10.2 click the one that is selectable go to 1.12.2 or your desired version if they dont have it do it manualy as shown on youtube

I'm looking to update my Java 7 to Java 9, not my server.jar. I know how to do that, I just don't know how to update the Java.
I could help if it's linux OS.
I don't know what OS I am running on it. Can you tell me how I can figure that out?
well if you don't know what OS you are using I don't think you will be able to update java.
also I don't know how to install java 9, I use 8 by myself and I don't think java 9 is stable yet.
are you hosting the server on your own computer or renting one in a hosting company? If you are renting it and you do not have full root access to the server then you might not be able to update java at all and then you need to contact support of your hosting service.
