Server Network Idea:
I have an idea for a server network that I may be able to create.
Basically, there is a spawn server, where there's portals to different games, like most server networks. But, first of all, the games are all unique, or a generic game, usually with a twist (a Factions world with something special, like guns).
There would be a few classifications of games, most likely something like Mini-games (Hunger Games, Sniper, Baseball), level up games (Gladiator, Prison) and Long-term games (Metro, Rust, Factions, Skygrid, Creative Plots).
But, the main twist to the network is that players can host their own server on the network if they make an agreement with the owners/admins (Would be me and other staff). Basically, the usual deal would be something like this; Tommy has been
playing on (Name) for awhile, and would like to start and manage a server on the network, so he talks to BestMinerGavin, and we agree on this deal; We would sponsor it and help manage it,
but this also means that 90% of donations/purchases (Probably more like 80%) goes to the network, and he must try to get enough donations to where we have enough money to pay off the sponsoring
and possibly upgrade the server. If Tommy doesn't make enough money to pay it off within two months, we will downsize the server to 4 gigabytes instead of the 8 it had. If it still doesn't get payed, off, then his server will either be downsized again,
we'll give him time to fix it, or we'll shutdown the server game until we can figure out what ever is going to happen. But, Tommy could have rented the ability to have it on the server, with advertizing, partial sponsorship, etc. for a certain price, and we could help manage it. For example, an 8 gigabyte server would likely cost around $40-$50 a month, as
the host we plan to use has low-priced plans because they own all of the hardware.
This is basically just our basic concept we created a while ago, but we would like to see how people respond.
