Server Problems

I don't know if this is the right place to post this topic but I did it anyways. I just started a brand new server which I can get on smoothly with no problems or lag. When my friends try to join this server they cannot it says Connection Timed Out or w.e. They enterred in the same thing that I did and they cannot join yet I can. Can someone please help me with my problem?
