Hey everyone, welcome to my guide on purchasing servers.
Eventually, you have probably come across the idea of having your
own personal minecraft server. Whether it be bukkit or vanilla, private
or public, you have thought about it. If you have gone beyond the idea,
and done some research you may have found the process of finding a
hosting company can be tiring and bothersome. Company's offer similar prices
with so many options, how can you choose?!
So here is how I look at it, when Im out to purchase a minecraft server.
Before you even start, put together a plan. What do you need? What do you
want? Are there things you don't want? Once you have your plan your all set!
Begin by searching the web using broad terms. Like, Minecraft hosting, Minecraft
servers, etc. Once you browse around you should begin to see sites you like, and
sites you don't. Sometimes a site will be straight-forward and simple. Others may
require some searching. Once you have visited a fair share of hosting websites, look
back at your plan. Which sites allow you to follow your plan. Which ones offer the price you are willing to pay, for the features you want.
Really, once you find a company that fits your needs that's all there is. Before you pay ensure you are ready, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to send it through their contact forms. If they are a company worth your time, you should see
a response from them before you feel like moving on.
As a side note, I use the following sites to host my servers:
http://www.yugutech.com/
Good: Great Customer Service.
Bad: Minimal Plans
https://mcprohosting.com/
Good: Unbeatable performance
Bad: Slow Service, Not Always Able To Answer My Questions.
https://www.bisecthosting.com/selector.php
Good: Too Many Features To Count
Bad: Overwhelmed with server options.
Thanks for reading, I hope this helps you with
your next server purchase!
