We are looking for a decent sizeable team of proffessionals to work with.

You will also learn what they are, why we have them, wich permissions come with it, but also what we expect from our team members and how to exactly apply for it.
This topic will also serve to explain what certain users can and cannot do, so you will not be disappointed when one cannot perform a action.

Description: Visiting our website and forum allows you to view the forum and site statistics.
Any further actions will require registration.

You will be able to read, post and reply but some user control panel functions may be limited until you have made your first 5 posts.

Description: While not officially a team function, it is often used as a stepping stone towards the other functions.
Any registered user can be a volunteer!
These are usually the users who intend to stick around and take a active part in our community instead of just passing by or looking up some information.

Faction leaders [FL]
Description: This group consists of all the faction leaders in Minecraft Intertwined.
They have proven themselves and gained their factions trust.
Faction leaders are elected trough a democratic voting system.
What we expect: Trough our extensive RPG system, Faction Leaders are considered to be the political leaders of their faction.
They are able to customize their own faction's hierachy settings, along with a plethora of miscellaneous settings such as tax rates, build permissions and shop owners.
Unlike Clans and Guilds, Factions are not ment to be privatised.
While the Intertwined Team does not punish leaders for doing so, it is unlikely for dictators to remain reigning leader as they are subject to the periodically election votes like any other.

Before launch, faction leaders are able to submit a campaign post on the forums, allowing the users to vote for their leaders trough polls.*
Assistants [As]
Description: Assistants are essentially volunteers who would like to help out a bit extra.
They have basic moderation tools.
The assistants usergroup is open for applications and can be accessed simliar to the volunteers group, but requires activation.
What we expect: We expect our Assistants to be determined to ensure our succes and continuation in doing so.
By exercising a polite and helpfull attitude they answer newcomer questions, keep guides up to date and generally spreading the word about Intertwined.
Assistants are more likely to be selected in case certain server features require extensive testing.

IRC Operators [IO]
Description: The primary function of an IRC op is to see that the Intertwined channel is running smoothly. That includes removing clones, flooders or mass advertisers.
What we expect: We expect our IRC Operators to be connected to our channel as much as their computer is on, even if they are currently away.
The mere presence of @names will decrease the likelyhood of channel attacks, spam or otherwise abusive behavior.

Teamspeak Operators [TO]
Description: As a Teamspeak Operator your main focus is to keep the communication on our Teamspeak server as clear as possible.
What we expect: In order to keep communications as clear as possible, we expect you to use the tools provided.
Aside from assisting users, you can use these tools to e.g move people to afk channel, kick or ban policy violators and setting channel descriptions.

Public Relators [PR]
Description:In our case, public relations is the practice of managing the flow of information between Intertwined and the public.
They are tasked with answering questions and posting news, updates and announcements about Intertwined on external websites.
What we expect: While your goal is advertisement and spreading the word, we expect you to do this as objective as possible.
Being enthousiastic about Intertwined is great, but unlike company's for profit you are not here to blind or otherwise influence people's perspective.
Instead, you supply accurate details, news and updates concerning the Intertwined project, and maintain them as you do so, allowing the reader to form his own opinion.
You are to actively seek out new minecraft related hubs and placing the Intertwined introduction post.
Co-ordination with your fellow relators is required to keep a up-to-date list of the websites visited, posted and maintained.

Coders [C]
Description: A coder may be the most diverse function to describe.
This title is given to anyone who does Intertwined related coding work, may that be in the form of a website, plugins or mods.
What we expect: Most above all, we expect 'clean' coding.
Having a trillion lines to code something that could be archieved with 2 easier functions only makes things messy and less stable.

Site Moderators [SiM]
Description: Site moderators each moderate a section of our forums.
Not to be confused with Server moderators.
A forum moderator oversees the communication activity of the Intertwined forum.
He/she monitors the interchange of contributors and makes decisions regarding content and the direction of threads.
Moving discussions from one section to another to keep topics organized is also a common job for a forum moderator.
What we expect: If the tone of a forum becomes hostile or starts to move in the direction of personal attacks, the forum moderator has the discretion to lock the discussion to prevent heated, interchanges.
He/she is also able to hide discussions he/she deems unworthy of further discussion.
Conversely, topics he/she feels deserve further examination can be posted indefinitely by the moderator even if they garner no comments.
Moderators are encouraged to join in discussions, especially if they have expert experience or advice to contribute.
However, moderators are to remain totally objective and mainly serve as impartial enforcers.

Server Moderator [SeM]
Description: Together with server administrators. the server moderator manages certain aspects of our gameserver.
Not to be confused with Site Moderators.
What we expect: Moderators should listen to players' queries, complaints and reports and reply appropriately.
Moderators should keep themselves aware of the state of the world at any given time, teleporting to players if necessary, to prevent griefing.
Moderators are allowed to give out any tools or materials a player may have lost due to a server crash or a client crash; this privilege is offered at the moderator's discretion, and if a moderator feels this offer is being abused by a given player, a moderator can refuse and will notify a Server admin.
The Server admin will asses the situation, any user caught purposely circumventing our recovering assistance, will be banned instantaneously
Moderators on this server are concerned only with keeping the peace - moderators do not constitute moral police, in any form.

Site Global moderators [SiGM]
Description: The Site Global Moderators of our website are charged with the moderation of our entire forum.
They work closely with Site Moderators and Site Administrators to ensure a enjoyable environment
What we expect: Site Global moderators also answer users' concerns about the forum, general questions, as well as respond to specific complaints.
They also can do anything to lend a helping hand to a user in need.
They follow the same code of conduct as Site Moderators.
The Site Global Moderator is allowed access anywhere, unlike Site Moderators.
Privileges of Site Global Moderators include: deleting, merging, moving, and splitting of posts and threads, locking, renaming, stickying of threads, warning the members, or adding, editing, removing the polls of threads.
Essentially, it is the duty of the moderator to manage the day-to-day affairs of the Intertwined forum as it applies to the stream of user contributions and interactions.
The relative effectiveness of this user management directly impacts the quality of a forum in general, its appeal, and its usefulness as a community of interrelated users.

Description: A Site Global Moderator by default, with added website and database acces
What we expect: A Site Administrator is a step up from a Site Global Moderator.
While most moderational tasks can be left to the Site Moderators and Site Global Moderators, we expect you to keep a eye out nonetheless.
As a Site Admin, you are more focused on the actual structure of the forum and the portal itself, aswell as managing and maintaining the main website.

Server Administrator [SeA]
Description: Together with server moderators, the Server Administrator manages our gameserver
What we expect: A Server Administrator is a step up from a Server Moderator.
With the ability to assign moderators, together with the other Server Administrators, we expect you to manage your team appropiately.
This does not only include reviewing applications and assigning members, but actively teaching your moderators how to operate to the best of their abilities aswell.

Project Administrators [PA]
Description:A Project Administrator oversees our entire community, website, server and the Intertwined project in general

A willingness to learn and perseverance can get you a long way.
We do however ask you to remain realistic, applying for e.g site admin or server admin without previous experience will not likely result in you having acces to our databases and file configurations.

I mean where is the application I need to fill out to become staff. Anyways will tou look at my app? I made two apps and I haven't got any answer. Anyways take the time you need I just say this because you answered the most other applying, but not me. So Withch positions are open? On the forum it sayd that sigm was taken up but here it don't (I am comfuesed) and here you don't need TS3 Operators but on the forum you need.( when I click on the rank it says that i is an open group). I do have a couple of things I would like to get off my chest wich doesn't go only for you two but everyone reading this thread really.
We really recommend people to actually read the thread carefully before jumping to the apply section.
As you may see in the thread we have multiple functions, applying for admin is a bit generic when we have site admins, server admins and so on.
We don't really care much for what number rating you give yourself on qualities either.
This is something that will become apparent as time goes by.
I was quite impressed by the amount of effort you put in your application MattyBill100, until i saw it was a copy paste from another thread you are applying too.
And I am not saying that is a problem per se, you can play or apply to as many as you like, but putting in your application under qualities that your dedicated and only play on this main server kinda renders it null don't you agree?
I do not doubt people's willingness though, so you can still sign up on the site, hang around, make friends and help out.
But I am re-considering the way recruitment takes place, as i might add you all to the assistants pool and promote people from there based on my own experience, rather than what people put in their application.
Ok Thanks so much for getting back to me, yes, i have used this application for other server requests, however, am i right in thinking i can only be dedicated to one server,. None other servers have accepted my request yet, the reason for posting the same application is because im not trying to be greedy and getting admin on all servers, but offering my help to a certain server, my idea was if i was picked by a server to be a admin, i would dispose of the other applications as i am looking to put all my time into just the one server, But anyway, thankyou for getting back to me and giving me feedback, much appreciated.

Yes, i have been a Administrator on many minecraft servers, and also Tekkit servers. I have also been a admin on a Mount & Blade Warband server.

Yes i am a very sociable guy, whenever i use to admin on a server the first thing i would always do is open up Ventrillo, (similar to teamspeak) and discuss with my fellow collegues important news and general chat.
4. Will this become your main server, or will you be juggling others?
Yes i have been looking for a decent server for a while, just to play on let a loan Administrating, as that would be amazing. I could say i am quite addicted to Minecraft, it comes before most other things in my life, so if i got chosen for the job i would put in pure dedication and hard work.

6. There are 2 staff members arguing, and it's quickly escalating and getting out of hand. The members of the server are becoming bothered about it, and some start to complain. What would you do to fix it?
First of all if they were arguing in the global chat, i would ask them nicely to take the argument else-where and not get members of the public involved. Then if that fails i would Screenshot the argument, then report it to a higher member of staff, and finally if given the power i would give them one last warning and if need be mute them until further instructions.
7. 2 members are arguing, and other members are starting to join in. What is your first course of action?

For example; Have you been a moderator or server admin before, and do you fully understand the responsibility's that come with it?
Are you experienced with any coding languages or mySQL databases?
Have you read about the server project and the team position expectations?
