Servercon 2014

Servercon is a Minecraft virtual event. It celebrates something Minecraft won’t be complete without, servers.

This post will be divided in short sections that will give you more info of each part of the event.

About

Servercon is a way for people to meet with rivals, share tips, raise money for charity, advertise, and simply have a good time. We have a variety of different types of booths, events, and speakers. Better yet, 75% of all* earnings will go to charity. At Servercon, there will be lots of fun games and activities to attend, such as guest speakers and minigames. We’ll have lots of games for you to enjoy during down times in the event. You can also roam the booths and see all the great servers out there.

Date

While we do not have an exact date for Servercon, we are planning for late July.

Booths

At Servercon there will be 3 different types of booths: Normal, Premium, and Enterprise. The first one is free and can be used for anything related to servers that is noncommercial, the second one costs money but is bigger and can also be used for anything server related that is noncommercial, the last one is for commercial use and requires the purchase of the Enterprise plan. Booth applications will be available soon on the forums.

VIP and Enterprise Plans

As hinted above, we will have 3 paid plans. VIP (20 USD), VIP+ (40 USD) and Enterprise (50 USD per company, gives one chosen username VIP+).

VIPs will have access to the exclusive VIP lounge, where many Special Guests may be hanging out; be able to join more channels in the voice server; better seats in the shows; and a red colored name. VIP+s get even more features like a bigger booth; premium support from staff assigned specifically to serve you; and a red and orange colored name. Enterprise gives you a VIP+ rank and an even bigger booth closer to the front. VIP and Enterprise plans will be available for purchase closer to the event.

Special Guests and Speakers

Special Guests are people that have made a difference in the Minecraft/server(s) community. Speakers are Special Guests that opted in to speak at Servercon. Speakers are all Special Guests but not all Special Guests are Speakers. Both Speakers and Special Guests will have the “Special Guests” rank on the server.
