Is there a list somewhere that shows servers that should be avoided?
I really hate wasting my time on a server only to learn that the admins cheat or you HAVE to pay real money to rank up or to use commands or other reasons. I know that it can be quite cheap to pay for ranking and such but why should I? There are 1000's of other servers out there that are free. And just because you pay for ranking or other stuff doesn't make that server any better. Any idiot can pay for it so it's not like you get the best players.
There should be an official list started on this web site for servers to avoid. There is a plugin or mod or whatever it's called for banned players, why not have one for servers to avoid? And yes, anyone can try to list a server just because he is a 10 year old having a temper-tantrum so there could be a required screenshot of the chat that gave you reason to leave it and want it avoided.
Anyone else feel the same way?

EmeraldAdmin, I can't seem to send you a message. Everytime I try to send someone a direct message or even add a comment about a server in the "Server" section it asks me to "join". When I sign in it still doesn't link me to the proper place. What is the IP of your server?
Im working on repairing my destroyed server, and its groing great. we were once popular, and we certainly will be again. If you're interested pm me, as soonas the server is in da air ill pm you back. and we don't have donation ranks because we simply don't need donation;s, so you won't have those troubles for above
I simply grew bigger. and it gain popular. then a guy called thedannyhiro showed up, he hacked us in the name of savage realms.... -_- and then my server become unrepairable.. as i repaired it.. i changed my internet provider to my regret, making it impossible to make it connective, i think i got it. if i do. youre more then welcome ona server that doesnt need donations at all. and you simply get all the normal, and some other awesome cool permission free. if ur interested contact me.

I still don't understand why you've decided not to play on the server, we're possibly one of the few servers that doesn't give their donators a huge advantage over all of the other regular players.
I will alter my posts on your server advertisement for the correction, if I can find them again.
Of course you can sell for free to the admin shops, for players to create their own shops we restrict it as it can be easily exploited as previously mentioned. I will tell Thomas to be more clear in future as ignorance was clearly the cause of all of this.

Volumecraft is a good server other than that pay for rank to sell stuff. The owner DID NOT say I could sell for free to the admin shops. I asked how do I sell stuff and he said I had to buy a rank.
Other than that they were doing great. I had four big farms built and they weren't lagging the server - (which to me is a big bonus for a server) The regular commands are available as VolumeCraft stated above. I'm not criticizing that for his server.
And yes, I am looking for a new server.
And I do understand it costs a lot of money to run a server. I wish I could cover the whole cost of the main server I play on because it is a great server.

Yes - I agree Ramja, but the thing is we do not take fundamental commands such as /home, /sethome, /warp, /f create away - we give our donators extra beneficial ranks such as /feed, /workbench, /hat and /sethome multiple, gameplay is not hindered by not being a VIP.

Yes, you usually do have to have a donator rank to make a ChestShop, you can still sell stuff to the admin shops for free. You're talking as if you have to paytoplay on our server.
ChestShop is a feature in the donator ranks but that doesn't mean regular players cannot have a ChestShop - we just do not allow people to create a ChestShop without admin approval as it can be exploited, perhaps if you would have clarified this with me before going off on a tangent you could have avoided this whole situation.

The reason Azuraz is mad is because we include ChestShop as a donator privilege, as if anyone could create their own ChestShops it would throw the server economy down the toilet; ChestShop is easily exploitable and we control & moderate it by including it as a donator privilege. Azuraz, you were quite a valued player of our server and it is very very sad that you're doing this, perhaps if you would have asked me I would have given you ChestShop rights as the only reason it is a donator privelege is so we can prevent exploits.

We do not ask, force or even persuade you into spending money on our server, the feature is there and is 100% optional to those who wish to do so. We give ranks which have extra benefits for those who do wish to buy them, but these hardly give the player an advantage over the others. You're acting as if we give donators /gamemode, /enchant and ban rights. We give them things such as /feed and /workbench.
Money sucking? I hardly see how, I am not exploiting anyone - every single server has the option to either donate, or buy ranks, we are no different from them.
I would appreciate a reply to backup your accusation of us being "money sucking", I find it insulting that I have so far funded the server 100% off of my own back, providing a free gaming service to you which you have used extensively, I have not asked a single person to donate, or buy anything, those who have have done so because they decided to do it, not because I, or anyone else, asked them.
I find it absolutely pathetic and insulting that you have decided to go out of your way to flame our server - we give our players two options, buy ranks OR donate - all revenue from BOTH go to the servers upkeep as some of us cannot afford to do it ourselves.

I totally can see you're point of view, and i wish that would be possible. But it simply isn't. Becuase servers could destroy you that way, like what happened to mine..
