Should I make a Pixelmon server?

Ok, so first of all I definitely have the money, I have already got a great idea in mind of what my server will have (as in what things to select from the package from the host) and I have friends who would also play it. I also have a more than capable builder for the pixelmon server. Now my question to you lovely people ( ) is should I do this or not and do you think I would get enough people to keep it running? (I am able to run it for at least 2-3 months (£10 a month) without any income at most (as far as I am willing to spend money).
