I just set up a small Minecraft server and I need people to join
The server is a bukkit server currently with no plugins, but you can recommend some
I am looking for around 10 people to join, but i can always add more
If you want to join just write below your minecraft name, age, skype(not required) and why you want to join. Be creative with your answer

I couldn't log in because the server told me I wasn't white_listed. My username is the same as my PlanetMinecraft username.

What is the IP?
If I may recommend some plugins, I would go with factions, herochat (the thing that puts -Owner- next to your name with permissions), any currency one (including admin shops where players can request a place to sell stuff), auctions and permissions (which you would need for herochat).
Those are my suggestions for my favourite plugins, you choose whichever are the easiest to install and run.
I found a Youtube Video which could help with some installations or just tell you about some of them
