Starting a Server, HUGE PROBLEM-Need help reply asap

On my minecraft, the server shows that its online, but when I log on, it times out. I've heard that you need to check the serverproperties, but i cant find that folder. Plz reply ASAP Thx

If it's hosted, go to panel and go to FTP. Enter your password and look at the files. Should be there. Try stopping it, wait 1-5 minutes, then turn on. See if it's only you

My server is run on my computer. still says it. my run.bat say press any key to continue, but it closes when i do. any suggestions?
