I'm gonna talk today about the launch of our
server, Terrafirma. I'm going to try to keep this as an
unbiased view.
Terrafirma was founded about four weeks ago by me (barrysmith) and FailVictim. We had
the intention of creating a fun survival server with a
friendly community, many features, and great player creations, without a player having to ever pay anything.
This dream has - in part - been realised.
We now have a server with (what I'm told) is an excellent community,
very active staff, amazing creations, and many amazing
plugins and things to do. Recently, we have added the
plugin 'Parachute' which has proved very popular. Simply hold an egg, jump off something high, and float
to the ground with ease.
We now have an excellent
team of mods who are always standing by to help and
assist players, protect the server, and keep the on-going running of the server successful. These mods are: fizzandspark, Tobias67, daniel7900, yellie, and mrnekokun.
Our players say that we are the best - we
haven't told them to, but that is the general consensus.
We try our best to offer a quick and easy tour for all new players, and help them find a great area to build.
We also hold regular competitions for players, with prizes
such as extra XP, enchanted tools, or extra Iconomy money. These have been very popular so far, with out
Spleef competitions being one of the favourites.
We hope you would join our server - we always welcome
new and creative players!

An update to explain our ranks system; We have several ranks. These are:
Villager
Yeoman
Elder
Knight Baron (donator only)
Duke (donator only)
Mod
HighMod
Admin
Owner
Normal players can ONLY achieve the 4
first ranks without donating. With each rank, you get
more and more commands to use at your will, and with donator you get more such as: setting more than one
home, half price items, more money, a coloured name,
the ability to create your own town, more control over
the server, such as you being heard by everyone,
instead of radius chat, and more.
Mod and above are
not available to normal players. You move up in rank by achieving 1 or more of 3 things;
-highest score in one of
the categories on MCMMO
-Being a particularly nice
player, and helping others, along with no rule-breaking
-Donating to the server
I hope this has explained many
things to you.

-The Build World: Build your
creations in survival mode, go adventuring, and have
fun! No PVP is enabled on this world.
-The PVP World: Player PVP against other players, build fortresses, work
together to conquer the opponents!
-The Nether World: Bog standard nether realm- collect glowstone,Soulsand, and fight monsters. This is a PVP world.
-The End World: A great non-PVP world where you can team
up for regular challenges such as defeating the
enderdragon, or adventuring in the dark...
-The Admin World: Players can visit this world, but cannot build. This world is to showcase many creations by players, and
mods/admins, such as pixelart, houses, hotels, models,
structures, and amazing creations.
