Trying to create a pre-spawn are for new players
Our server is trying to create an area that new joiners must complete before they can enter spawn and join and of the worlds.
The problem is we don't know how to have new joiners start in this pre spawn area and have existing players not have to complete it every time they wish to access spawn.
We're running essentials, essentials spawn, and the multiverse plugins. Can anyone help us out?

its alright, i found a nifty command for it. Apparently in essentials spawn if you use the command "/setspawn newbies" it will create a spawn for just new players.
Hey a little boy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjr66MfSrVI I had your same problem, but I watched this video and took out the command spawnpoint so all you need is tp@p x,y,z and scoreboard players set @p[score_status=0] status 1. And you need to make the objective. It is fairly simple just take off the spawn point command. If that is too hard for you then there are multiple plugins for it.
