I remember the Nether when it was first released in 2010, also remember MC when there was no Nether. Nether does need an overhaul and it looks interesting...

Yes and no. I love the additions, but then I realize, "Oh no. I'm gonna have to re-texture all of this for my cartoony-looking yet simple resource pack." :P

As something that I have wanted to come since long before this whole biome revamp charge started (before I even had ideas about updating caves even), in fact, it was one of the first things I wanted updated since I started playing MC.

It's actually called Minecon Live to prevent confusion with Minecraft Earth (the AR Mobile Game)

I mean, updating the nether has been on my mind for a bit now, but the caves really do need spicing up. In my opinion, the current terrain style for the nether is challenging enough and also fun enough for me. The caves are also a awesome thing to explore, but it is kinda bland now-a-days.

The 3D biomes that the nether update will use will most likely allow for cave updates in the future.

Well, there are "Soulsand Caverns". Caverns are large caves, so there ya go!

Well the Nether is technically a cave if you think of it. A huge one. Deeper below than any other cave :D
