Block Problems! (1.8)

I just got 1.8, and apparently it supports HD texturepacks. But I've tried many 1.8 HD texturepacks, and either the stone or dirt has fire and portals in it! Can someone help?

You still need to use MCPatcher or Optifine. There is not an update for that.

You still need to get MCPatcher or Optifine, unless there's an update i haven't heard about.
