I have tried to install the Backpack Mod twice so far.
These are the steps I followed:
1. Delete .minecraft and minecraft.exe
2. Download minecraft.exe
3. Download ModLoader, ModLoaderMP, and Backpack mod from these sites:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/754 ... g-updated/
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/867 ... ermp-only/
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/741 ... k-ssp-smp/
4. I opened my bin and delete META-INF
5. Copied and pasted both ModLoader and ModLoaderMP files into bin.
6. Ran minecraft.exe to check if it works, everything is fine
7. I made a copy of .minecraft on my desktop
8. I copied the client version of Backpack Mod into my .minecraft/mods folder.
9. I ran minecraft.exe
10. Freezes at the Mojang logo and crashes after around 8 seconds
I have done this twice and I fail to see any place where I have done something wrong. Can someone please tell me how to install the Backpack mod correctly?

Wow, you wasted so much time trying to get this mod.
If you can, start with a clean minecraft and go here.

Now it won't let me login, but I think that's because minecraft servers are down.
That was step 4, first thing I did after running minecraft.exe and I also did it again after installing ModLoader, ModLoaderMP, and Backpack Mod.
Did you try deleting Meta-INF first?
