Working on a TF2 styled Payload Race map thing, and everythings working exept the temeport command things. I know the redstone's hooked up, and I have the right commands, because I tried shortening the coords to see if that'd help, and it tp's me god knows where, and I had to find my way back to where I was. I'm using snapshot 12w34b. If you need more info, like what coords I'm trying to use, let me know.

Can you post the command you're using, using a [ code ] tag? If you're just looking to have the player that steps on a pressure plate to be teleported to a certain place, the command should look like this:
tp @p xx xx xx
