Computer Issue- Help Me!
My computer keeps restarting whenever I connect to the Internet. I have an HP Pavilion with 3 GB of RAM running Windows 7. It happens ONLY when I connect to the Internet. I left the computer idle while connected to teh internets with no programs open, yet it still did this. It's fine whenever I don't connect to the internet. This is most certainly NOT a virus. I did 3 full system scans with Webroot SecureAnywhere. What is going on? How do I fix it?

I would get it checked out by a computer repair store or a general pc store...
It seems like it is broken and they will be able to help you better...

I have owned and operated a computer repair shop for almost a decade and your problem seems unusual if not infection related. I would have to say that browsers are now able to utilize the gpu and being an HP Pavilion which are known for there gpu failure rate, that your computer maybe shutting down from a hardware problem. If you can perform other 3d related tasks or anything that will use your gpu then it is something else. Just from experience though never say never as I scan computers with 7 different security engines ( one might pickup something the others don't ) including webroot and all might seem clean until I do a scan of the system ram with malwarebytes pro. Either way you need to check your systems event logs and use the error codes to see what the issue is.
You were right. I uninstalled Firefox (which I installed just recently) and now it's all back to normal. Thanks for the help!
Maybe try uninstalling and then reinstalling the search engine (internet explorer, firefox, google chrome, whatever). If all your drivers and stuff are up to date perhaps you;ve updated to something to advanced or incompatible with your current operating system.

Go to the laptop manufacturer's website, look up your model, and download the driver for your WIFI/WLAN adapter, whatever they call it. Obviously do this from another computer.
That's not it either. I've had my computer for over 2 years and it just started doing this. My drivers are all updated.
Try booting into safemode and seeing if the error persists. If so, it might be a program/driver.
i think its because the computer is broken send it to a computer service or reinstall windows
I don't think you should post this in Planet Minecraft.
It is a computer issue. Not a Minecraft issue.
Post this in Microsoft or HP forums.

Well, this sort of stuff is what the General Help section is for. Just really anything that people need help with in general.
