Flag/Report Comments
The ability to Flag/Report submissions is a good feature, but what about comments? I have been seeing a lot of inappropriate/spam comments such as:
*Comments telling people to go to their projects/websites etc.
*Blank comments
*Duplicate comments
*Inappropriate comments
*And many others
The ability to "diamond" a comment would also be nice!

Ikr it gets really annoying on your post about things, They can make their own post. Also post owner deserve to allow to remove posts as long as for legit reason.
Yeah, it's kinda needed. However we usually get PM'd for something like that. The thing is, more reports would make even more work when we are already behind on keeping up with site reports.
But shouldnt the owner be able to remove certain ones?
Submission owners can remove any comments they don't want on their submission.
Yes, if the owner of the post feels it is innappropriate, they can remove the comment. If the others think it's inappropriate, the best bet is to PM the owner of the post (blog, project whatever) and it would
1. Probably be answered alot more readily and quickly than if you advised a mod(being backlogged and all)
2. Would take stress off the mods

What if the undesired comment kept reappearing because the person posting it kept reposting it after it was deleted?
Definitely have the owner of the submission report it to a site moderator at the point.
TIME TO REPORT THAT LITTLE CHIPMUNK!
Haha, just kidding. Thanks for answering Palaeos.

If that was the case, report it. plain and simple. The eaiest way is to try to talk to a mod directly, or bring it to their attention. The perpetrator would be dealt with basing on severity, could be a warning, and temp ban, or if horribly bad an a repeated offence, perhaps even a ban.
I didn't realise that moderators were THAT busy dealing with things. Next time, I will contact the submission owner, as suggested by Snowylips
You're welcome Haha, I've heard the mods can get backed up by almost a week's worth of work!
Wow! So that's why I still see submissions around, a few hours after reporting them.
The Person Who Subbited The Item Which Has Been Commented On Can Remove Any Comment At Anytime. post730854.html#p730854
Yes I know, but I'm talking mainly about the comments on submissions that I do not own.
