Hi, I'm having a little trouble with my function keys (the row at the top of the keyboard that goes from F1 to F12).
The problem is that when I'm PvPing, I often hit F1 or F2 when trying to switch back to my sword. I have a Dell Inspiron, so the keys do the right job - hiding the GUI and taking a screenshot respectively - it's just that this is really annoying in a situation where you need to see your hotbar and can't afford to lose that crucial half-second of PvP due to a minor lag spike. I've tried googling solutions but nothing's come up (and I don't really want to mess around with the hardware).
Is there any way to make different keys perform the functions that F1 and F2 do? All I really want is to be able to have an option within the in-game controls menu, as if I was changing the key used to open my inventory, but it's obviously not going to happen. If anyone could help that would be great.
I know people are going to tell me to get better at PvPing and I guess I will, in time. But the fact remains that this really sucks and I need to sort it out.

I don't have a solution to the function keys, but, I would recommend going low settings in minecraft and then use mouse wheel to switch the item.
