OS HELP
So i'm going to be making a new computer next month and i was wondering if linux/ubuntu was able to be installed when you don't have any other operating system already installed?

Yeah pmc had issues and kept saying it wasnt connecting properly and everytime i reloaded the page to see if it was working it just reposted so right now im deleteing them
Yes, provided the machine has BIOS on it (and a HDD/SSD if storage is needed). Also, you can get a torrent to download Ubuntu right from the distributor (as it's more convenient for us and bandwidth-friendly for them).
However, DON'T talk about doing such with Windows here. Unlike Linux, Windows is proprietary. Doing it for most Linux distros it not only OK, but encouraged, whereas with Windows it is a crime. Do not discuss illegal matters on PMC.
If you don't want to pay, I recommend you try out Linux first, and see if you could use it as your main OS. Depending on your needs and skills, it is possible for it to be a comfortable experience.
