Hey everyone! I think I might have just figured out how to port forward my MC server the right way! Yay! The thing is, is that I need people to log on to it to make sure it works correctly because i will be able to get on to my own server no matter what because I'm the local host. Anyways, if you would like to help me just simply try to get on my server! The server ip is 5.29.94.196. Ill either see you log on or you can just post a response saying it worked if it did. However if it didn't please post what it said when you tried to log on. Thanks all! -Terenus

Yeah use Hamachi to host your server if you are inviting only your friends. Port forward is very risky and has a high chance of getting a virus.

Arg! Why doesn't Mojang see that the community is fed up with the whole server deal and just want an easier way to play with friends without having to use separate programs from the game! It could be so simple but, nope, they won't do it.

What can i do to fix the can not bind to port? This is what it says: FAILED TO BIND TO PORT The exception was: java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address: JVM_Bind [WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port?
I don't have a server running on that port. No clue what to do...

Make the server ip if you see what i mean. Nothing. Leave it blank. Then use the second IP. Dont insert it, just put it into your minecraft multiplayer ip address and it should work. As long as you have the port forwarding set up correctly.
