Okay, so I want to connect my "family" computer to my laptop so my sister and I can play Minecraft together on a server. I've got the server software and it works fine, and I can get onto the server on the computer that is hosting the server by typing "localhost".
However, when I try to log on on the laptop, using the IP address I found from this website; http://www.whatsmyip.org/ (On the main computer) followed by : 25565 I receive a "Connection Refused" error. What can I do to fix this?

Thanks in advance,
-Omazah

u need to portforward port 25565 and you dont need to type it at the end of the adress cause its the standard port, to portforward go to the site of your router and look for something like "portforward" or "open gateways"

Do you use Bukkit or the Minecraft software from Minecraft.net?
