Hard at the start and then it gets easy

Survival mode is painfully easy once you get into a rhythm. I played a lot of older versions of Minecraft and the oldest ones lacked a hunger bar, sprinting as well as the many food sources we have now. Old Minecraft was really tough. Back then, basically your only food source was porkchop from pigs. It wasn't a guaranteed drop either. Enemies back then were also a lot more aggressive. Spiders were painful too, you could never get through a melee fight with them without taking a hit. I guarantee that if someone were to play older versions of Minecraft while already used to today's versions, they would have a very hard time adjusting.
