Is AFK fishing the best way to get a mending book?

I have been AFK fishing literally for hours to try and get a mending book for literally hours. I have also tried spamming enchanted books at my enchanting table with no luck. What have you found to be the best way of getting these?

if u afk overnight yes. but if u want to go for maximum efficiency ill just say cure a villager and get cheap books. for 1 emerald each thats really the only way of mass producing books cheaply other then just wasting electricity on afking

Villager breeding and villager trading is the best way. It requires a lot more work, and probably more hours of waiting than afk fishing, but when you get a mending villager, then you can have all the mending books your need :)

I'm fairly sure you can't get mending from an enchanting table, only through loot or villagers or fishing.
