Hello, I'm here seeking help with a severe WorldEdit copy/cut memory leak. I tried using the issue tracker, but it just gave me a 500 error when I tried to submit it, so I'm posting it here.

The problem:

When you use copy/cut, the RAM usage goes up as expected. However, this memory is never reclaimed. I've tried relogging to empty the clipboard, /clearclipboard, and just waiting. None of these 'work'. While the clipboard may be emptied so you can no longer paste it, the memory is never freed up as if it has truly been emptied. The only way to reclaim it is to restart the server.

I've tried this on two of my servers running 1.2, and both have this issue. I've also tried using two different successful dev builds of WorldEdit, including 1108-fcd7921, but they both have this issue

This is how you can repeat it:

1. Select a pretty large region

2. Use /debug info, note the usages

3. Use copy or cut

4. Use /debug info, note that the usages has gone up as you would expect

5. Try to reclaim the RAM in any way you can think of. Relogging, clearclipboard, waiting, etc.

6. Use /debug info and note that the memory still hasn't been reclaimed (and it never will).

Thank you all

Thank you all

There are a couple things that might explain this? Here are some questions.

How many GB Ram do you have?
How many plugins do you have?
Do you have voxelsniper?
How large is the region you select?
Did you ever try to use /reload?

Answer this and can you copy the error please?

Greetings
