Java and JDK Install Error 1336
So I have been trying to install JDK on another computer, and it kept giving me error 1336, "There was an error creating a temporary file that is needed to complete this installation." I then uninstalled my java, to re-install it, in case that was causing the problem. Now I can't re-install that! I really wish I knew what was happening...

I suggest you to completely uninstall all the java versions from your machine first (you might want to read half a dozen of tutorials to completely remove java though).
After that confirm that java is not installed by typing the following command in the terminal:
Making sure there is no java installed, download the proper JRE for your system (either 32 or 64 bits) and install it. The version you got is the most updated one though, just be sure about the bits.
After that type the java command in terminal again and it should work.
At least that's how I fixed most of my java installation issues so far, I hope it works for you.

I made sure it is completely uninstalled, and I was pretty sure the bits were on, but I will check again. Thank you for your help so far.
-Edit- I tried to install the correct version, AND the other version and neither worked...

You need to provide more information.
What operation system are you running?
What Java version are you trying to install?

Win7 Home Premium, and JRE 7u45. I had this error once before, but I don't remember what I did.
