So, I'm trying to make a map based off of a Minecraft world. Like, a literal map, not a Minecraft map but an image representing territory. I was wondering if anyone knew of any software that I could use to get an bird's eye view of an entire Minecraft world and save it as an image file. I've tried Unmined, but that haven't worked out very well. Any other software ideas?

If you're familliar with Kurtjmac's Far Lands or Bust series, you could try and use the same Overviewer program that he used. Be warned, I've used it for my server and its taken 12+ hours, although I have a somewhat large server. It creates a google maps style map of the minecraft world, but it uses the old windows line commands to start a map.

For me, using a server installed with "Dynmap" was the easiest for me. Here is an example of mine if you want to take a look

Yeah, I've considered using Dynmap, but I've met two issues:
1. Setting up a server and Dynmap will take time and is overly complicated than what should be needed.
2. As far as I know, I cannot export the entire dynmap as a single image. If I could, maybe the struggle of setting up a server would be justified.
