Map edit help
Hey
I been running my own server for about 8 months no, had active players so the map is explored far in every direction.
After 1.8.1 I realized that my world would not experience any of the new biodomes unless walking for an hour or so in one direction. As this would increase the size of the map, this would also cause the server to lag and use more memory.
I been searching for a way to edit and cut out about 80% of the explored unbuilt area, but so far no luck. Anyone know how I could achieve this?

I tried using MCedit abit now, but its kinda confusing. And the area I want to keep is still pretty large, way to much to use WorldEdit atleast. Is it possible to get a overhead 2d view in MCedit?

Depending on the size of the area you want to keep and the performance of your computer, you can copy the area you want to keep using WorldEdit or MCedit. Then paste it into a brand new 1.82 world seed.
