Optifine is a great choice-let's you hand-pick all of your options. Fast grass, Fast textures, etc. One time my PC was going crazy, so I simply downloaded optifine. My Minecraft ran fast again!

Another way to help is to download the mod Optifine, it helps alot and gives you more settings to configure http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249 ... try3699520

You could run minecraft with more ram. I dont have the code with me, just google "Run minecraft with more ram". If you need anymore help, just send me a pm!

I think this might be an issue with Java if you have just got a new computer. Be sure to install the 32- and 64-bit of java 7 update 5

Moved to 'General Help' as this is a general problem/issue.

As for resolving the issue, I suggest lowering you graphic settings (Use 'Fast' rather than 'Fancy'). If that does not resolve/improve upon the issue, decrease your render distance. Also, I would recommend downloading/installing Optifine to improve resources usage.
