Mob Spawning HELP

I have a 50x50 room (roofed) and I don't want random mobs spawning in it but I do want mobs to spawn from a mob spawner (...still with me? :/). But I also don't want glowstone and torches everywhere. Is there away to meet my requirements or am I just being to picky :/
