Moderators please read!
Hello I am starting a blog series reviewing mods, texture packs, and server!
To all moderators, I don't see anything about this in the rules so that's why I'm asking here: With my blog series, as I said I am reviewing things so do I have to ask the owner of every thing I review? I'm asking because, well I'm not distributing their things, I'm not breaking any rules as far as I know, and I will be giving the links to the thing I am reviewing, I will also be giving all credit to the poster of the mod/texture.
I'm just not sure if it would be OK to just go ahead and do so. Like I said I don't see a problem in my eyes, but I am asking the moderators for a reason. If the answer is no, I will not get upset or anything. I am here for knowledge, to know if it's OK or not.

This is fine. You don't need permission from the maker, but it would be polite to ensure you link to their page.

Any press is good press. You just hope it is all good...
But yeah I garuntee 95% of server owners would LOVE to have a blogger post about their server, just make sure you give them credit.

Well, we do have a review category for a reason. As far as permission goes, I've always contacted the modification creators for permission to review the mods (See the few blogs I have posted if you wish), but I wouldn't think you'd need permission for this. This is one of the iffy submission subjects, so I'd just get permission from the creators. Better safe than sorry. I'll look into this though, if you so wish~
