Modpack Help [Please Help!]
Hello! I have put together a modpack and downloaded about 35-40 mods for the technic launcher, and I can't figure out why it isn't working for the life of me. I have made a folder with bin, config, and mods. I have placed all the mods into the mods folder, and put the 1.6.4 universal, recommended download of forge into the bin folder. I have also renamed forge to modpack. I then made all of those files into a zipped folder and uploaded it to dropbox. I made sure that the link was a link to where it automatically downloaded instead of having to hit download. I tested that link, and it worked. I made the pack, and then when I downloaded it in the technic launcher, the download bar filled up all the way, and then said that db [or something like that] was setting up my Minecraft environment. I know that it usually says FML is setting up your Minecraft environment, but this time it said some sort of db thing. After it said that, no Mojang logo appeared, and it reverted back to the technic launcher window.
I thought that it might have been a compatibility issue with the mods I included, so then I tried it with only NEI in the pack, and it did the same thing. ANY help would be appreciated, and I will thank you eternally. It could be that I don't have a coremods folder but I also tried a pack with that in it, and that did the same thing as well. Thanks, and please reply.
[I can also include the mods if needed.]

You could be using outdated mods, or mods that don't work on your Minecraft Version. Make sure you installed all of the up to date mods, and double check on if your ALL of the mods are compatible with EACH OTHER. Also, you may just have to many mods.
Yes thats what I thought, however I did try it with just NEI installed and it didn't work. Also, how can I check what mods are compatible with each other?
it can't be too many mods... have you ever seen some of the mod packs that ares out there? some like FTB have over 100 different mods. but, some mods could be outdated, like you have said above. to know what mods are compatible you just need them all on same version i think.
Even try Void launcher. Some of there mod packs have somewhat 120 mods.
Yeah, that's what I thought. I mean Attack of the B-Team is a relatively small pack, and it has more mods than I have I think. Also, when you say make sure they are all the same version, do you mean the same version of Minecraft. And I think that it is more a problem with how I setup the folder or zipped folder because it wasn't working with one simple mod.
Thanks for replying so quickly btw.

I could try void launcher as a possibility, but I really wanted to use the Technic Launcher.
Yeah, possibly, but id say technic would be better, even though void is good. i mean same version as in mine craft, like 1.7.2 or 1.6.4.
So, how would you setup your modpack? Do you make a folder, and then within that folder you have bin, config, and mods? Because there could be a different way of doing it. If you have made a modpack, can you tell me how you did it? Thank you.
Add ram.
OOOOOH, maybe that is what happened. I remember trying to start a modpack up earlier, and it wasnt working because of the ram. Let me try that really quickly and get back to you guys.
Ok guys, that didn't work either. It did the same thing. I tried it with just NEI in the pack and it still did the same thing even with full ram.
yeah, RAM would be the key, i forgot about that. and i don't set-up mod packs, just information my friend told me.
Guys, that didn't work either. I even tried loading the pack with only NEI and it did the same thing. I did look at my crash log however. I will post a download to the log in the next reply.
Just by reading it I can see a lot of stuff about core mods. Maybe one of you can decipher it better than I can.

Whoopsies. I didn't mean to post that 6 times. Each time I did it I thought I was going to a different forum but it was just the second page of my own forum. Sorry about that.
