I need help!
My class is really talkative and silly. Too silly, in fact. In the line before we were called on to the bus, they took the usual problem in the line's hat, and tossed it around calling it a "squirrel" while being way out of line.

Why would anyone in the class respond to you "disciplining" them when the teacher isn't around? You'd likely come off as some know-it-all trying to boss them around and end up worse off than you were before you tried to be the teacher, which you aren't. The best thing to do is to report this to your teacher.
I know, I'm trying to dodge that. I have reported what has been going on, but there are still problems. They tend to like acting like that sometimes. I honestly think putting myself in their shoes to know what they're thinking could help me understand why they like to enforce stupidity on themselves and others. Just one of the problem students in a group with me, the most serious person in the class, and a girl who almost had two friends who were ready to volunteer before we traded another problematic boy for the serious girl turns the entire group into a nut house. They talk too much ALL the time, mainly in transitions tho, not to mention when the teacher isn't around.
Maybe get a kid to be a secret spy? Then ask him if the class behaved or not?
I'm not a teacher, but my class is always talkative like that. Especially in transitions.
Then ask a teacher to tell them to tone it down? I don't really know how to help you there.
What do you need help with? Theres no question?
Trying to discipline them when the teacher isn't around.
