I have no idea what's exactly wrong. I created a personal minecraft server for me and my friend and we connected just fine yesterday. I tried to connect today and all i get is a connection timeout. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Strange. Can you access the server by typing in localhost or the local IP address?

To prevent your ip from changing, just download No-IP. This will allow you to have a custom server address that points to your home ip even if it changes. Try your server after downloading this.

Hi

Have you setup port forwarding on your router?

Also if you reboot your router your IP address ill change so try that.

Can you access it with a local IP address fro manother machine on the network?

Double check your IP address, whether your firewall is on or not, whether any virus protection/internet/network protection software is blocking Minecraft. That's as far as my knowledge goes really. Sorry I can't be anymore help.
