That formats worked b4 so that's why I'm was ask but I haven't used it recently I was just wondering if I put it in wrong or if it's just not supported (sorry I'm a bad at remembering computer stuff)

You would have to get the link with the .jpg or image file name, and add these on each side: [ img ]link.com/image.jpg[ /img ]

Well, that looks like HTML stuff, used for websites, blogs, etc. If you're trying to link someone to an image, you can upload the image to an image hosting site, such as Imgur, and link someone through the URL it gives you when uploading an image.
