Schematic Problems?
I made a folder inside my .minecraft folder named schematics, then I put the schematic file inside that folder. When I use //load and put the name it says there is no such file. I am certain, however, that I am typing in the name perfectly. Any help please?

Are you talking about while using the mod Worldedit?
Yes
To test if everything is working right use your wand tool and select some blocks. Then use the //copy command and then //save xxxx (xxxx being the file name). Then select some other blocks use //copy again to overwrite the clipboard. Then finally try //load xxxx whatever the file you saved from to see if it can reload it alright. If all that works just find the schematic file saved from in game and make sure to put any other schematics you want in that directory. Hope that helps.
Where does the save get saved to?
It should be going to the \.minecraft\schematics folder. If you can't find it in there you may need to do a file search for it.
schematic files are created with MCEdit, not worldedit. You need to use MCEdit to place schematic files you download here into your worlds.
You can actually load and save schematic files with both the Worldedit mod and MCedit. I have done it several times. For more info check out http://wiki.sk89q.com/wiki/WorldEdit/Clipboard. Scroll to the bottom for the part about schematics.
isnt world edit the exact same as mcedit?
WorldEdit is an in game mod not an external app. They can do a lot of the same things tho.
I figured out the problem, I am on an online server meaning they have the schematics folder not me.
Ask them to download the schematic for you so that you can place it.
