1.6 Server (broken??)

This is a currently known issue with massive lag on servers, which is probably linked to the new more aggressive compression algorithm that is used for sending server traffic, though I could be wrong.

Me and some buddies own a server! We use Clanfoge, and after the update we tried the server and it said we had to update. So we did. When we got back on the server you were just floating in mid air spazzing out! Well, the server is up now, but we can't use any Op commands anymore! And the spawn points are different for all of us so far. It's like a completely new server! Whatever has happened, I hope either we, or Mojang can fix some things up soon!

im on 1.6.4 im just saying 1.6 because its quicker but yea everything was fine i can play single player no issue at all but my server wont load at all also im only running 1 server

but the thing is when i had the older version before the update i had no lag at all the map loaded in a few seconds but on 1.6.4 the map wont even load after 10 minutes!!???....

i noticed alot of people are having this error does anyone know if its being fixed thou?

Make sure that you only have 1 server instance running. Also, the speed issue is a known problem.

When i updated it bacame extreamly laggy then it crashed and i cant fix it , the message it gives is *****FAILED***** to bind port, is somethimg runnuing on that port? so i checked the port re-forward it and the same message. can anyone help me?

get the latest stable if you aernt on 1.6.4
