Server help...

I(Ninjapiglet13, my minecraft name) have had plenty of servers, untill 1.1 (the newest vesion) came out, i ican set up the server but others cant connect this is what i did...
1) download all things necesary, server.jar....
2) adjust the server.properties file and made a skyblock world along with it cuz i wanted to do a lets play with Fatso1999, so told him to update to 1.1 and connect to my server and there was no connection what so ever..... i could connect to it with my internal ip but the problem was occuring with the port forwarding.. i typed in my default gateway and the webpage is not avalible and i tried it on 3 different computerss, NEED HELP I AM EXPERIENCED BUT I NEED HELP STILL if you help me i will op you on my sever and allow you to be in a lets play if i can record(i dont know if i can).....

idk but can i join the letsplay? i have fraps with badass fps
