I agree with everyone else. If you want to fix your problem just type: Win+r then in the text box type %appdata% then find the folder labeled .minecraft and delete it then rerun your launcher. If you have anything but Windows I cant help you sorry.
If someone is going to send you their .minecraft, they are basically sending you their account information. you can dencrypt the lastlogin file and get their login. Only an idiot would send you that. Like what Ping0pong said, just restart Minecraft! Delete the contents of the .minecraft folder, delete Minecraft, and reinstall Java. There may be a probelm with anyone of those!

Aw, I just get an error when I download the whole thing, how about your 1.7.5 in your versions folder? seems simple enough.
I don't know what you're after, but by the looks of it. You're trying to get something... for example, maybe you can do something we can't? Like hacking our accounts by getting our .minecraft... Just saying though.
