Eclipse fails to run (SOLVED!)
Hey guys, it's me, BestBuds1911/Friendly123. Recently I decided I'd like to get into coding Minecraft plugins. I've looked for hours upon hours, and I don't know if it's just me but I can't find a good YouTube video that explains it well enough. If anyone would like to teach me, or has a good YouTube series that you know of please let me know because I really want to start coding Minecraft plugins.
Thanks,
BestBuds1911 / Friendly123
Also: I'm not sure this is in the right section, if it isn't please move it to the right section, thanks!
God solved it for me guys and gals, read below for more info, thanks for the help (for those who prayed for me)

Okay guys, so I downloaded Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers but now when I try to run the eclipse.exe file in the Eclipse folder, it says "The Eclipse executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library." Don't know what to do.. I edited the eclipse.ini and removed the -startup section that goes until the -launcher section but still it fails to run with the same message. Need help please!
Again, I'm not 100% sure what section to put this in so if it goes in a different section please move it or tell me where to move it to.
EDIT: I am also running on Windows 32-Bit along with Windows XP (very old I know, just got the computer for free from my uncle .-.) Not exactly sure if this has anything to do with the Eclipse error but maybe there is a possibility? I've seen other people have the same error but what they did to fix it isn't working for me... maybe I'm doing something wrong?
EDIT AGAIN: Alright so I downloaded Java EE for Windows 64-bit and at the time when I downloaded it I wasn't sure what version I was, whether I was 64-bit or 32-bit but once it downloaded it failed to install. Also I tried to read the eclipse.ini file and I saw that it says java 1.7 is required, not 100% sure what version of Java I have, I'll check into that, but other than that I really am stuck and don't know how to get Eclipse to run, maybe I need to try download a different version of Eclipse? I don't know, but I don't want to do anything without someones approval because my downloads have been taking 30min to an hour today which is really long. I'll wait for some suggestions then I'll see what to do.
ANOTHER EDIT (sorry guys): Alright so I went to my Control Panel and read the Java version, it says the following: "Version 6 Update 24 (build 1.6.0_24-b07) Copyright (c) 2011 Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved. Use is subject to license terms. For more information about Java technology and to explore great Java applications, visit http://www.java.com" So now that I found out that my Java is 1.6.0 I will attempt to update to at least a 1.7.0 version and along with that I will be attempting to find the Windows 32-bit, if anyone has a link, please let me know. Thanks!
SOLVEDDD!!!! Alright guys so if you read thru this you will see every mistake I made and in the end (here) I will explain what finally fixed it for me. So after I checked the eclipse.ini file and saw it needed java 1.7 OR HIGHER! I went to check my Java version in my Control Panel (remember I'm using Windows XP Professional so this is really old version so it is likely to work on newer versions as well), and went to the Java section in my Control Panel, saw that it was 1.6 version of Java so I followed the link it provided in there, updated to 1.8 Java, along with that it automatically uninstalled the 1.6 version of Java. I then reopened the eclipse.exe file, clicked Extract All, and after about 3-4 minutes of waiting for the Extraction to finish, I went the new eclipse folder, and there it was, eclipse.exe with the beautiful picture of Mars or whatever it is. Also I forgot to mention inside the eclipse.ini I deleted the -startup (blah blah blah) all the way to where it said -Launcher (the first -launcher in the document!)
Anyways, after 7-8 hours of trying to fix it I got it. Please share this with your friends if they have troubles as well (topic solved!)
