Bread is a pretty sustainable food source. You can farm it with wheat, feed it to villagers, bread animals, and so much more just with wheat!

Favorite type: I honestly haven't had much bread but raisin bread is pretty good

overall this is highly dependent on what type of bread, for example,
i would never toast white or wheat bread, but if its say wholegrain or that special bread with little nuts in it or whatever, Sure i enjoy it toasted. in terms of wheat and white, Generally you will want to put stuff that goes with it, things like red meats or plants, I.E, beat root, tomatoes, cheese, and other general things. when ti comes to toasted though, you want to add things that take your mind off the fact that the bread is Hard and crunchy, so soft things, like sliced cheese, pineapple, tomatoes, avocado, letus- Kinda, and maybe even some pepper.
Overall its all psychological and based on your own taste preferences.
personally i like wholegrain and white bread, best way to consume is in sandwiches or with spaghetti sauce.
