Welcome to the 3rd Datapack Jam!
Datapack Jam is a monthly competition where you have a set amount of time to make a datapack around a theme. At the end, judges will play your work and award points for it based on creativity, technicality, polished-ness etc.

We have 5 simple rules we want you to follow:
1. Use your own work and ideas. Online tools are allowed, but make sure to credit them.
2. Stick to the theme. You can get as creative as possible, but your datapack must be based on the theme.
3. Do not intentionally copy others. Use your own ideas, you can do it!
4. Datapack must be made within the time given. Do not use old datapacks. Please also don’t use dependencies that require you to download another file.
5. You can work in teams of up to 3. You can also go solo if you can’t find a friend.
6. Stick to PMC’s rules. If you don’t your pack will be disqualified and removed from PMC.
Your datapacks will be judged on 4 criteria. Creativity (How creative you were.), Polished-ness (How polished your pack is. This will also include Textures, if your pack has them, and bugs/oversights.), Effect (This is how well the theme reflects the desired-effect of the datapack. For example, if your pack is adding a fun new weapon, this will test if the fun weapon gives off the feel it is supposed to. Last jam this category was known as Fun Factor.), and finally Technicality (How advanced is your datapack.)
To submit your pack, all you have to do is fill in the Google Form (no login required). When you submit the form, your pack’s details will be sent to a special channel in our Discord server and will be visible to the judges.

You can get a role on our discord and we might make some community trophies but other than that no. It’s a community event, and although there are 1st/2nd/3rd places spots, in the end it is just for fun.

I am really excited for this. I am just really good at underestimating the amount of work needed for something so yikes for me and the deadline.
I won't have time to make a datapack, but i will sub to get the notifs of next datapack jams
