Hi, I'm new. A few questions
Hi, I'm LemilasTheElf. I'm new here (although I have done a few anonymous banner posts). I have a few important questions to ask:
Are all the worlds to download here compatible with Bedrock Edition, or only the ones that are made specifically for Bedrock?
How exactly do competitions work?
What are some good strategies for earning xp?
Thanks in advance for answering.

Not sure how to answer your questions (I still don't know myself haha), but welcome to PMC :)

Hi, new. I'm SpideyBoi.
- I honestly don't know, but it's probably that specific worlds ar for specific versions/editions.
- Competitions are made by both the site (after a vote) and the PMC community. The competitions are competitive events where you must create an entry which is of whatever submission the competition rules say you must upload. Events, however, are not competitive, and usually the type of submissions you can upload for the event is very broad.
- Uploading submissions give you XP, and whenever someone gives you a diamond, emerald, etc., you gain XP.

I realize most of these have been answered, but I'll throw my voice out too.
1) Worlds are not compatible between the Java edition and Bedrock edition because they use two different engines. Java is using Java, and Bedrock is done in C++, so the worlds that are compatible with Bedrock will be specified, but it isn't as likely to find because most people here are still on Java.
2) You enter your submissions into contests
3) Just do things on the website tbh.

The earlier replies are the best answers for your questions, I just came to say welcome to Planet Minecraft.

Bedrock and Java maps are not interchangeable. You would have to look for maps specifically created for your version of the game.
anonpmc2054575 said most there is to be said about official contest (thanks for the mention). For more unofficial contest, please check the Event Calendar, which lists both official and unofficial events.
Participating on the forums and making submissions will earn you xp! Diamonds, favorites, emeralds and views you get also earn you xp. The better your content/comments, the more xp you'll be likely to earn. But the best advice here is to just do your thing and have fun participating on the site, xp will follow naturally. 😊
