Hey there!
I'm Grantomania, I've been working on building a server concept for the past year or so but only in the past few months have I really begun to flesh out those aspirations into something that not only works, but works well, and I'm very proud of my progress.
I came from a media production background and wanted to learn a new skill for work, so dove into learning JavaScript to build websites and little browser games, and then after many months of that my friend and I started learning Java, which with our combined love for bashing our heads against the table we learned how to make pretty solid plugins for servers.
He's got a pretty killer Anarchy server and I've gone the complete other way and made rootboundrpg.com which has quickly become my loveletter to roguelike-esque grindy games. I love a good old McMMO server with landclaims and farming server elements, but lots of servers like that have P2W elements that just kind of bum me out. We don't have that over there, and I look forward to continuing to develop that and share what I've learned about plugin building, server managing, and community building.
