Hi,
I am new to minecraft and really want to get started instead of only watching others playing at youtube.

Does anyone have a guide to get started playing adventure maps and on private servers?

Thanks a lot!

Try finding a tutorial of how to play (if you haven`t learnt), then try playing a bit of vanilla singleplayer. Afterwards,go and look at the servers section to find some servers to play on. You can also find adventure maps in the projects section. If you want to run a private server (as you mentioned private servers) try googling "minecraft server hosting" and have a look at some server hosting providers. Make sure to watch YouTube tutorials about it first, or you could use Minecraft Realms which would be easier and only costs a fiver or so a month Obviously you don`t have to do this all in order. Hope this helps :3

Jump right in! If thats the way you want to learn, theres no hard and fast rules. Its a game and its meant to be enjoyed, so enjoy!

If you want to join a server I have a modded one, its harder than normal but we are all friendly and help each other out.

First off, since your new i would personally suggest you start in a single player world either in creative or survival just so you learn the basics. Then i would start looking at some Adventure Maps (How to install minimaps can be easily found on youtube) After that either small survival servers or Some Big Servers like TheHive or Hypixel, or you could do it verus virsa. After all that i recommend then to start looking into some servers, just so your fimilarized with minecraft better and know how servers work in more detail. And if you want you go advance and start doing some modded servers (Also can be found on youtube easily)

Hope this helps you!
