Hello Friends!
I'm a middle-aged dad with 2 young kids and I'm a huge fan of Minecraft. I've been playing for about 7 years, before I had children, and now my son plays with me. Fun!
A few years ago I started playing online on vanilla servers and found a really nice one. After a while I was tired of all the anger and abusive and mean comments in chat, so I decided to start my own server. 3 years later it's bigger than ever — we get about 50-70 people playing most days.
I enjoy writing new Java code that makes the game harder, adds trade-offs and considerations that take away from over-powered items and skills, as well as adding creative and unique mini-games that we custom code (I have a great dev partner right now that's helping with all kinds of great features.)
When not working on the server, I have a day job in San Francisco as a web designer, enjoy hiking among the redwoods with my family, and taking pictures.
